Chapter 066 Blinding Anger

It hurt me greatly to see Winter in this state. She looked disheveled and beaten. She looked nothing like the cheerful Winter I knew. There was even a large bandage wrapped around her elbow. It was clear she had hurt herself.

When she looked out in my direction, I couldn't help speaking to her. I didn't know if she heard me. But I just kept talking.

There was something about the way she looked around. Maybe she could sense my presence. Or maybe she was just not acting herself because today was what it was: a tragic day marked by a tragic event.

I had totally forgotten that it was my birthday until I saw Winter. Her appearance reminded me of when she found out that her parents had died in the blast/fire. For days, I saw her acting crazy and fighting off anyone who attempted to console her.
