Chapter 109 Like Father, Like Daughter

I didn't know what I was doing for a long time after the impostor's severed head was brought to me. By the time I regained control of my mind, I found myself standing in my bedroom.

Dawn was lying on the bed as an elderly man in a white coat attended to her. I grabbed the doctor's shoulder. "Is she going to be okay?"

The man whom I recognized as one of the few old men in the pack, straightened up after putting away a few syringes on a tray. "She's going to be fine. Her spine was bruised, but it will heal quickly. It would just take a while for her to regain consciousness."

"How long?" I asked anxiously.

The doctor shrugged and smiled. "A few days or even less. She's strong. Just like her father."

After thanking and watching him leave, I sat on the edge of the bed and stared at Dawn's cute face. Out of paranoia, I occasionally put my finger beneath her nose to feel her breath.

"Alpha," Pat called as she walked into the room. "If you don't mind, I'd like to stay here."
