Piling up the clean plates and cups, i put them to their places after we had our breakfast. I looked outside the casement kitchen windows, it was sunny with stratus and altocumulus clouds and my favorite sound of bird's chirping which brought a smile on my face.

The scene flashed in front of me like a punishment, no matter how much i tried to take my mind off it, it came back like a reflex.

Throwing the kitchen towel away in frustration, i sighed as the flash back came back.

When they all were leaving for today's mission, i told everyone to be careful. Eric was last to leave the house, when i bid my byes and told him to be careful and stay safe, what he did next was unpredictable.

He stared at me with brooding eyes and walked towards me. I just looked at him waiting for him to say whatever he wanted to. He neared me with those intense blue eyes, my eyes following his hand moment. He placed his one hand on my cheek, making me look at his eyes.
