Chapter 44

Just then, the Library begun emitting a strange glow. It blinking from redness to blackness. Then an echoing cry filled the place as I burst out of the library.

“Altara!” It was a thunderous voice, a familiar one that I only gritted my teeth for a response. It was filled with warning and discontentment. “Everyone, the King!”

I silently moan to the pain of the impact yet my eyes widened when Cynthia exclaimed the presence of someone akin to heaven. I slowly lifted my head, gasped to see the King, walking like a storm cutting through trees and establishment.

“You wench,” Cynthia glared, “bowed your head!”

“No need,” the King interrupted, his eyes beam with bloody light. Suddenly he grasp his hands, pointed at my paled face. “I declared for my power as a King, witness with all the servants and my followers! You are no more Princess from this day and on, Altara,” he said, filling the place with shivering wind. “Bowed your head to no one as you are subjected to the trial of detector!”
