Only Person I Love

“Will you be able to hate your father to love me?” His words paused her completely. Pulling back, she looked at him and found his empty gaze already on her. His eyes were devoid of every kind of emotions and feelings, like there was nothing left in him to give her or he was too numbed to share them with her.

“Can you go against your father to be with me forever?” The corner of her eyes shimmered with tears after hearing his question and he received her answer in her teary eyes and soul-shattering silence.

Lifting his hands up, he held her wrists and slowly pulled her palms down which were cupping his face.

“How can I let you in when I know in the end you will have to leave me alone?” He asked, blankly staring into her watery hues. His words continued to pierced deeper inside her soul, bringing more tears to her eyes.

“How can I believe that you will be able to embrace my each and every wound when in the end, you are going to stand with the giver of them, Ora?” He said. A tear slipped
