Tears & Guilt

“How is Ora?” Hearing that voice, Riccardo immediately understood who that person was on the other side of the call which made him sigh softly.

Trailing his eyes forward, Riccardo looked towards the bed and saw Flora laying beside her mother.

“You already know how she must be by now,” he answered, looking at his daughter and wife.

“Her test reports came out to be negative this evening. She has a minor infection in her stomach,” Riccardo told him because somehow he felt the necessity of telling him regarding her reports and test results.

As soon as he uttered those words, Riccardo heard the other side of the call going silent for a while before he heard him exhaling heavily which was quite justifiable according to him.

“Can I come there to meet her?” Riccardo heard him asking him. His tone held a clear pleading and somewhat a sheer amount of desperation.

“I don't know whether she would want to meet you or not right now but if you want, you can come here and try to talk to her,” Ricc
