Back at home

Skylar glanced at her watch as she sat sin the after school teachers meeting. It had run longer than expected, and she knew Pietro had probably picked Lorenzo up since she had texted him about the meeting. As she waited for the end of the meeting, she thought about how much she appreciated his help. With a smile, she focused her attention on the head teacher.

Meanwhile, Pietro pulled into the driveway with Jared and Lorenzo in the back seat, both chattering excitedly about their day. His daughter, Sophia, sat next to him, already absorbed in her phone.

“Thanks for the ice-cream, Pietro!” Jared called out as they parked. Lorenzo nodded enthusiastically, his eyes wide with excitement as he held his small tub in his hands.

“No problem, guys. Did you have fun at school?” Pietro asked, turning off the engine.

“Yeah!” Jared exclaimed. “We started decorating for ‘bring your Dad to school’ day!”
