When Cory rushed back to the lab underneath the hospital, Chris was still waiting outside the elevator. He looked really confused and nervous. As soon as the elevator door opened, he stepped forwards and asked, “What happened? What’s going on?”

That was exactly what Cory wanted to ask.

“Pull up the security footage,” he growled, striding past Chris, and walked towards the security room.

Chris nodded his head. He trotted ahead of his king to get the security footage ready.

On the screen, the images were intact and clear. Cory saw a man who looked exactly like him followed Chris into the lab and then left with Elena’s parents.

Knowing clearly that the camera was on him, that strange man looked directly at the lens once on his way to Elena’s parents’ room. There was no expression on his face, but his eyes were cold and full of defiance. Cory then knew it was a provocation. That man was daring him a fight. And it totally enraged him.
