As soon as the doctor left, Elena felt something odd about the hospital. Before she was locked up by Cory, she had been in the hospital a few times for general physical examinations, and none of those visits was as quiet as now.

There weren’t many patients in the hospital, but there were always doctors or nursing workers in the hallway, busy with their work.

And the nurse’s lounge near the stairs was always a noisy place. No matter what time it was, you could always hear arguments or talk, sometimes even laughter came from there.

Wolves are not like humans. They rarely get deadly sick. The hospital was never a grave place, more like a comfy rest station. But right now, the whole place was as quiet as a graveyard. There was no noise anymore, not even any sounds. After that doctor left, the hallway suddenly became completely empty, as if there weren’t any people in the building anymore.
