Of course, I didn’t blame him since he received that training, and had associated Dandelion as a danger within these walls. *Alberto’s POV* I pressed a soft kiss on her head as I held her tighter while she rocked in my arms. I hated seeing my angel so broken. I wanted those that caused her pain to pay, but I didn’t want to leave her side just yet. The silence between us was driving me just as mad. I didn’t want to push her to talk, but I also couldn’t take it. I needed her to talk to me. “Angel,” I murmured, my arms squeezing her even more. “I’m here. *POTENTIAL TRIGGER* *Alberto’s POV* I forced a smile on my face as my angel ate the food I ordered for her. I felt relief that she seemed a lot calmer now, but her words were on repeat in my head. Her confirmation of what I already thought. I fūcking knew Santoro’s son was a prick. It was a gut feeling, and I’m never wrong with my gut feelings. I also had a feeling that Francisco had stormed off to torment the assholes in the basement some more. He was pissed at them, at what happened, but also at himself. I knew him enough to see the regret in his eyes. He’d lost his whole family in the blink of an eye, and he still didn’t have them back even though they were within arm’s reach. So the only way to deal with that was to make those who made us all suffer pay. I didn’t mind him making those assholes bleed as long as he was away from my angel for now. I love my brother, but my angel would always come first. If he ever caused her another breakdown like he did earlier, he’s gone.
