"Hello, how are you?" A cheerful voice came from the other side of the phone.
Darius let out a sigh while massaging the temple of his forehead with closed eyes. The past memories have given him a headache. Usually those memories give him heartache but the past and present together are giving him a headache.
He was deep in the thoughts of the past when his phone rang and he was brought back to the present. He picked up without looking in the caller ID. If he knew it was her, he wouldn't have picked up the call.
"Darius? Are you there?" The caller asked in an unsure tone from the other side of the phone.
"Yes, Diana. I am here. I am fine. How are you?" He said in a monotonous tone and regretted it immediately as the caller, his elder sister who is also a psychiatrist, can catch his lie in a second after hearing his tone.
