Alvara's Point of View

Fear, hot and pungent, stuffed itself up my nose. Peter stood above me, a tower of a man with menace in his eyes. A certain pleasure danced across his lips when he tugged them into a smile. How long had he been waiting for this moment? Ten sentinels stood behind him, all donning automatic weapons. Swallowing down the lump in my throat, I stood.
