Chapter 56: Miss Me?

“I thought we agreed to move together yesterday,” Rachel said to Laura confusion clearly written on her face.

“Mmh, but I’m afraid it could get inconvenient for you because of my job,” Laura said before taking a sip of her coffee.

“But-” Rachel started to say but was promptly interrupted by Laura.

“I also don’t want to third-wheel. I want to be able to finally be as undressed as I feel like at home,” Laura said and teasingly narrowed her eyes at Rachel.

“I guess it’s time we should start living separately,” Rachel said in a soft voice. She was also realising that their lives were changing drastically and they needed to give each other some space.

“Don’t worry, I won’t inconvenience you and your soldier for too long,” Laura said with a knowing smile that caused Rachel’s cheeks to flush.

“Can you two just let me go?” Rachel complained as she put her face in her hands making all of them laugh.
