“Look what the cat dragged in.” Milo says upon sighting me.

I grin at him in response.

“I knew a piece of the furniture was missing. It turns out you were too busy making up for your academic deficiency.”

I snort out a laugh,

“You say that like it's a bad thing.”

“No, I say that like it’s a once in a lifetime miracle that I am a part of. I should get a spot in your acknowledgement.”

I narrow my eyes at him.

“Sure. One of those who did not encourage me, Milo George.”

He blinked innocently, “I did bring you cookies and milk.”

I burst out laughing and walk into Anne's office. She is sitting at her desk going over a few documents.
