Settling In

“High society is extremely judgmental and harsh. You need to know the rules of conduct to be accepted into society. And society doesn’t accept people easily,” Sophia tells Anna. Anna has just signed the revised marriage contract and has been given a card that contains the entire amount for the entire year. It works out to be about three thousand pounds per year. Anna had forgotten that in these parts of the world, they didn’t deal with United States dollars, they dealt with the Great British pound. Now that all that had been settled the contract and money, but now Sophia was taking her etiquette and manners.

“Did you ever go to an etiquette school when you were young?” Sophia asks Anna. Anna shakes her head. “Do you know anything about etiquette and deportment? I mean your father did work with embassies and foreign CEOs,”
