CHAPTER FIFTY-NINE

*He has been stalking her?! *

"And I knew you have been lying to me, Hannah. I have evidence." He rasped in her ears, causing her to gasp.

What does he know? What evidence?

Or could it be he has been stalking her?

What could he possibly be getting at here? Her mind was running in a spiral of anxious thoughts. She was jumbled.

She managed to croak out, "what are you talking about?"

He chuckled as he returned to his seat and slumped into it, releasing a deep sigh.

She swallowed thickly as she stood watching him.

"The last time I begrudgingly gave you an off day what did you tell me?" He quizzed, his eyes piercing hers as he clasped both of his hands on his desk.

She gulped. What is he trying to get at here? She licked her lips before she responded. "I told you that my mother was ill. Why did you ask?"

She shrugged.
