Chapter 27

Aria

I woke up in someone's embrace.

As I struggled to try to open my eyes and my hands moved to rest on the person's naked chest, the memories from yesterday came swashing into my mind like a frantic wave.

Panic was the first thing that permeate me but it began fading away as rapidly as it had appeared once I remembered Hunter's apology and gentle caresses.

I had never got the chance to feel it, but being in Hunter's arms was the most peaceful place I had ever found myself.

I was basically laying on the top of its body with only a shirt of his covering my body that he supposedly put on me after I had lost conscious

Not even a bit of discomfort could be seen in his expression despite having my whole weight on the top of his body. He was in a deep doze.

I did not have any idea of what made me do it but I leaned closer to him, resting my head on his chest and hearing his steady heartbeats that for this particular moment seemed like the most interesting thing in the world.
