Chapter 20

The outing was well spent, the evening was as beautiful as the sky that had appeared that night. I got to know a little about Derick Mclean, turns out I went for ice cream with a junior lord. Derick ensured that my night was eventful, after getting ice cream and talking, we went for a walk and came across a lake. We stood there and looked at the lake for a while. The moon had settled at the other side of the lake and it’s ray reflected so beautifully on the lake. It was indeed a beautiful sight. We played hide and seek at some point too.

“Thank you for offering me ice cream at the library” I spoke

“The pleasure is all mine” he responded

“No, for reals this is the most fun I have had since I came to college” I added as he smiled

“And you might not know but I enjoyed it way more than you did, I saw the most beautiful of smiles today” he said as he walked towards me
