Since the last time Derrick’s mother insulted me,I haven’t spoken to Derrick, my phone beeped and I checked to a text from Derrick. I wasn't sure how to feel about the text. On the one hand, I was shocked that Derrick had asked to see me. But on the other hand, I was confused by his timing. I wondered if he was just being friendly, or if he was hoping to rekindle our relationship. I didn't want to lead him on or give him false hope, but I also didn't want to hurt my own feelings .
