Unexpected 37: Confrontation

Melissa and Andrea greeted me immediately when I entered the office. I went straight to my table and placed my things there.

"How's Zandy?" Andrea asked with concern in her voice.

"Is he fine? Isn't his back broken?" Melissa said. I can feel their concern for Zandy.

"He's fine. He can recover quickly," I answered them. "Don't worry about him, he's strong and that won't be the reason for his death," I said.

"You're so harsh on the term death? We're just asking if he's ok, aren't we?" Melissa said in shock. Her forehead was still wrinkled.

"I mean, his injury isn't serious so he's fine and he can walk. He's not disabled yet," I clarified.

"Ah! It's good then. Why are you still here to work? We thought you wouldn't be here to take care of your husband." Andrea said and smiled meaningfully at me.

"He can handle himself and like I said he is not disabled and besides he doesn't want to be taken care of." I turned to my monitor and turned it on.

"What? Maybe you want me to take care of him?
