In His Condo

Rajiv brought me to his condo. I texted dad not to fetch me because I have already returned home. I lied but it's for the best. I don't want him to worry about my situation, and also, I don't want him to know about my situation right now. Surely when he sees me crying, he will ask me why and he won't stop until I tell the truth.

"Here, drink this," said Rajiv and gave me a glass of water. I accepted it and immediately drank it. He sat across from me. He took a deep breath before saying, “Hassan, I know you're probably not expecting this, so am I. We didn't expect this to happen, but it's already here. The best we could do is to accept the truth and deal with it. The baby is mine, and I'd be selfish to tell you to keep it even if it's against your will. The child is innocent.”

I pursed my lips and looked down. "I-I didn't even think of a-aborting it..." I took a deep breath. I looked at him again. “But I d-don't think I could take this, either. I'm still studying. How about my family?
