Chapter 27 - Brandon

I’m standing in the shower, trying to wake up when I hear a set of footsteps walking into the room. I don’t react, trying to figure out which one of my mates it is. Based on the lighter tread, it’s Kayla.

I’m up super early today, hoping to get in a few hours of work done that I can pass off to Hakeem so that he can start looking for Esteban’s cousin, Jake, and get information about Esteban. We’ve gotta find him. I refuse to allow my baby girl to continue to feel this pain.

Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, I’m in the middle of the mating period. It’s gonna get in the way of finding Esteban. So, I’ve gotta do all that I can, when I can.
