Chapter 73

Solana's POV

Alton's mother walked away, leaving me in the lobby with a heavy heart. How could she say those words?

Is she really this cruel to say such things to my innocent son?

"Solana, let's go," George said, holding my arms and helping me stand up.

Tears cascaded down my face as I looked around the lobby. I saw curious and pitying eyes fixed on me.

"Let's go," George urged, guiding me out of the hotel.

We walked towards his car, and once we were inside, he handed me a tissue.

"Where should I drive you?" he asked gently.

I looked at him, took the tissue he offered, and wiped away my tears.

"To the hospital," I said.

George let out a deep breath and nodded before starting the engine.

I could see concern in his eyes, as if he wanted to ask questions but restrained himself.

"Atlas has severe refractory asthma and needs an operation as soon as possible. I don't have the money for his surgery, which is why I wanted to see Alton. Besides, he deserves to know our son's condition," I expl
