THIRTY-NINE

A loud yawn escaped me as I sat up and stretched my arms above my head. The sun was already high in the sky and it's brightness lit up every corner of my bedroom. I groggily looked around and noticed that Jamie wasn't in the room.

"Looking for me?" Jamie asked and I looked at the direction of the bathroom door. He was walking towards me with a towel on his head and another wrapped around his waist.

"Yeah. You're from taking a shower?" I asked, my eyes dropping to the towel around his waist.

"Nope. I just woke up to pee."

"And the towel on your head?"

"I just put it there after washing my face." He removed both towels from his body and put them on the nightstand before sliding under the covers. "It's past nine, by the way."

"Good morning," I said before planting a soft kiss on his forehead. "We can take our bath together, if you're up for it."

He chuckled. "Sounds like a good idea." He put his arm over my stomach. "I had a great night. I'm a little sad that I will have to go
