Thirty Two

Abigail paced the floor of her bedroom with her head down. Marcel stood leaning against a wall watching her. She had called Marcel into her room after her grandmother had finally gone for the night and the kids had gone up to bed.

"I think you need to calm down." Marcel finally said, tired of seeing her go back and forth without so much as a word.

"Calm down?" Abigail suddenly stopped.

Her voice was laced with annoyance.

"Did you not see what just happened, the kids almost exposed us to my grandmother. If she had found out that we weren't sleeping in the same room it would have jeopardized all of my plans. Do you know what that means? It means I'll no longer need your services*

"Well, The good thing is that you stopped them in time.” Marcel tried to encourage her.

"And what if this happens again? Oh my God, is that why they moved your things into my room?" Abigail suddenly stopped as she came to a realization.
