"Where were you?" Xavier's voice came from behind her.

She stopped her movement and turned to look at him. "I was on a date."

He appeared surprised at first, then the shock on his face morphed into curiosity. "I do not understand. Why did you go another date with him?"

"Apparently, it is my duty as his fiancee." She said in a nonchalant way.

"What?" He looked at her with shock. "Are you really going to marry him?" He asked with an angry expression on his face.

"The jury is still out on that. Time will tell."
