I didn't know whether or not it had something to do with my facial expression, or if there was something else that was giving away my true feelings in regards to seeing my parents, but I could tell by the expression on my mother's face, that she was far from happy to see me. That made me feel even less optimistic about this encounter than I already was, and I was going to end up feeling even worse if this continued. And the fact that Arthur was not with them, gave me the impression that this wasn't just going to be a friendly visit in order to wish me luck for tomorrow.
