Abrar
"Will you manage on the couch?", Zoya asked when we were done settling the bed and the couch to sleep. I let the windows open so she could have the moonlight next to her bed. The lights could disturb me to sleep.
I looked at her. She was still confused or maybe she wasn't feeling it right to make me sleep on the couch in my own room.
I smiled.
"Of course. Why are you asking so?", I sat on the couch and settled the pillow correctly.
"Your height. The couch is small", she said, sitting in front of the dressing table. My dressing table always had a comb and perfume. Nothing else. Now it was filled with her creams and perfumes. She started applying them to her face and arms. A smile appeared on my face as I watched her.
She needed nothing to look flawless of course. She always glowed like a moon for me.
"No problem. I can manage", I said, staring at her as she raised her eyebrows at me, through the mirror.
"You can manage eve
Abrar"Zoya is a good girl", dadi said at the breakfast table. I just passed her a smile."She is""And I'm glad that you took a decision for yourself", she added with a blissful smile on her face. I wondered how to react. The decision was imposed. And it was not even real. How should I feel? It was so complicated."Yeah", however at some point she was right. After Zoya's arrival, many things changed in my life. I could say that my boring life with no meaning at all had become cheerful after her.Nonetheless, the next moment I remembered last night and everything that was happening throughout the time she was with me. There were so many secrets to unfold. And I knew none."What happened? Is there any problem?", dadi asked while frowning as I came back to my senses."No, dadi. Not at all", I chuckled. After a few minutes, dadajan came to the table. His mood seemed to be fresh as he took the newspaper from the table. Deep down, I was ne
Abrar * "Dammit", I groaned, yanking the tie around my neck. I hardly wore a tie but today I had to attend a meeting and my boss Mr. Sahani strictly told me to maintain the formal code. "Need some help?", Zoya said from the door as I looked at her through the mirror. "No, thanks", I scoffed, focusing back on my tie. I was striving to make the knot. It wasn't going well. "Okay. Then don't wear it", she said from behind, still looking at me. "I'll go with Mr. Sahani so he strictly asked me to maintain the dress code", I told her, darting my eyes on her through the mirror. "Then let me do it for you", she said again. "I can do it", I shrugged off. She walked towards me which I could see through the mirror well. The next moment she was just an inch away from me. "Abrar, you suck at wearing a tie. Don't show attitude and let me help you", she said while frowning at me. Her hands were crossed and her ey
AbrarThe moment seemed to be stopped there as I bumped into my past. In just a second, everything I had with her years ago flashed before my eyes. She was startled too. I was looking for words, what to say, what to do, how to react. She dropped her gaze immediately and took all the documents from my hands as I came back to reality.I couldn't dare to look at her again. However, I remembered how Zoya used to make things easier for me. If I was the same man with awful emotions like six months back, I could never be able to face my past. But I thought now I could.Standing up properly, I looked at Nikhat again. She had changed a lot. We never met in the last two years. Her dressing style completely changed, she had become chubbier than before. Maybe, the marital change! Nonetheless, the only change which made me anxious was her body language. She looked timid and nervous. I frowned at her."Are you okay?", I muffled though it shouldn't be the first question
AbrarI didn't know why I was expecting this after all these incidents. However, I was a bit scared about it. Was that because of me? She was such a nice girl. No guy could ever think of leaving her."But why? Is it related to—", I strived to say."No. It's not because of you, nor it had anything to do with our relationship. I had accepted the marriage wholeheartedly and I was giving my best. But—", she pressed her lips and looked up at the sky. I could see her filled eyes and the painful attempt to stop her tears. She was trying her best to complete. Rubbing her cheeks, she looked down again and chuckled. The chuckle of pain."He cheated on me", she said in a heavy voice. My jaw dropped. It wasn't something I was expecting. I still remember the moment. Her husband Imran was desperate to get married to her. In fact, when I met him he assured me that he would do anything to keep her happy. I could not believe that he would cheat on
Abrar"I'm tired. I guess I will need a shower right now", she said, blinking her eyes. The smile was still on her face."Sure. But take care of this", I told her as she slid her hand off."Yeah", she grinned and walked inside the room.*I was waiting for Zoya to come when my head was being overloaded with the thoughts of Nikhat. This condition of Nikhat was unimaginable to me. I had never thought of bumping into her when she would be lost and helpless. It was disturbing me.I covered my face, sitting at the edge of the bed when I heard the door opening. I looked up and found Zoya coming inside while wiping her hair with the white towel. She was in her nightwear which made her look ten years younger than her age. She immediately draped the stole around her neck, placing it neatly on her chest as she found me looking at her.She walked towards me. My eyes went down to her hands. The bandage got wet."Your bandage needs to
Abrar Nikhat's thoughts started disturbing me again. I wondered if she was okay. Her health was not good. Besides, she was mentally disturbed about the job. "I'm talking to you", Zoya gave a jerk on my shoulder as I came to my senses and looked at her. "But I came late", I told her, looking down and deciding if I should tell her about Nikhat or not. If she asked why I came late, I would have no choice but to tell her. "Oh", she said. I passed her a tight-lipped smile and put another chunk into her mouth. She munched it, glaring at me. "How was your day?", I asked her. "It was good. There are a few formalities left. Then I'll be back with a bang", she explained. "That's good", I said, my lips trembled in dilemma. "Finally! Abbu always wanted me to take his company to the peak. He has so many expectations from me. I hope I can fulfill them", a smile appeared on her face. I smiled at her smiling face. "You
Abrar Wrapping my hands around her torso, I pressed her against me. She felt so small in my arms as if she would melt into my arms once I hug her a bit harder. The last time I hugged her was when she was feeling homesick and crying like a child. It had been months since I sensed how she felt to me. My heartbeats raced faster and I felt her hugging me back. Pulling her away immediately, I brushed my gaze down with a bit of embarrassment. "Sorry, I got a bit excited", I said, scratching my head and peeking at her. She was giggling, to my surprise. "No problem. But I can't promise you", she said as a touch of embarrassment vanished from my face. I looked at her properly and smiled. "You said it. That's more than enough for me", I stood up as she passed me a smile. Zoya wasn't an easy girl to consider things. However, she agreed to try something for Nikhat. It showed that she cared about my request. "You haven't had your dinner yet", she s
Abrar Dada and dadi must be at home, right?", Nikhat said after finishing the glass of water. She looked tired as if she came here after a hectic time. She might be looking for work. "Yeah. They just came two days ago", I smiled at her. "I won't take much time and try to leave as soon as possible", she said in a guilty tone. "Don't say like this. Be comfortable", I mumbled. I was looking for words to make her feel better but at that moment, I had to be careful with my words. "I don't want them to see me here", she said. Her eyes were still darted on her lap and she was hesitating to speak. "They are not angry with you. It's fine", I forced a smile though I was being honest. "Actually, Abrar the thing is—", she strived to say while looking at me. "Nikhat", dadi spoke from behind as my eyes widened and I looked back. She was standing there with Zoya. I gritted my teeth at her. "I told her to come alone", I grumble
