Chapter 33 - "You're useless to me."

Don opened his eyes slowly, squinting it back almost immediately. The rays of sunlight shone brightly into the room.

He protected his eyes with his left hand as he turned to see who opened it. He scoffed after seeing a smiling Lillian by the window.

"Oops, sorry for waking you up." She said a bit scared at his facial expression.

"I was just trying to have a nicer view of the outside, I....." She tried explaining but was cut short.

"Just quit talking." He groaned out as he sat up.

"What are you doing here? I thought you slept in the living room." He said again, glaring harshly at her like she had committed a grieve crime.

"Like I told you earlier, I just wanted to have a view of the outside." She replied, forming a thin line on her lips out of nervousness. He scoffed out again and took his gaze away from her.

He stood up groaning slightly as he headed towards the wardrobe. Lillian's gaze followed him simultaneously biting softly on her lower lip.
