This is where we have to leave Joe and D - at least for the moment. They still have a lot to work out between each other and for themselves and any other ending would therefore have been unrealistic – at least in my opinion. For all of you who absolutely hate this ending and can’t live with it, realistic or not, there is an alternate (happy) ending below – a quick fix.
