South Alaska,

Gross wood forest.

Sage POV

Travelling from Chicago to Alaska was another form of suicidal treatment since Lisa no longer lives in Chicago.

I made sure to map out the road and any landmarks before going on this journey apart from the one given to me by Lisa. I had thought the weather in Chicago was freezing but turned out Alaska was bone-shaking..penetrating to the deepest apart in my body, despite the animal skin coat I buried myself into.

It was even a miracle that I had arrived at Alaska premises this early. It was just 5 pm, the normal time for arrival was 8 pm. I pushed myself slowly forward through the gross darkness. The reason I had the heavy backpack on me because it was curtaining every item I needed for the journey including a torch light.

In case I come across a pit hole I would have my torch light to save me from that. The dim moonlight tells you the road is safe enough to not fall into a hole, but the bottom of my boots feels the surface of some holes.
