Chapter 109

George Chulley was not happy with the way things had turned out. He went to that city because he was invited and told that Gregory Simpson was living there and that he was given a job in a restaurant.

The old man purposely gave Gregory the job because he already heard his name and being that George was his friend and partner, he had to inform him and George told him to employ Gregory and that he would be there one day to see him.

Everyone was surprised when the lady came to report that Gregory had moved out of the apartment and was no longer working with them. George couldn't believe his ears.

They wondered what had transpired that made him leave even before daybreak. They doubted the lady and decided to go to his apartment to see for themselves and they were surprised that the whole place was empty. The house equipment was still there but his bags were missing.
