Chapter 85

The whole street was very wet and lonely, not even a single soul was seen outside. The birds were screeching. Gregory came out of his new apartment to look around his new environment but he discovered that everywhere was empty.

This was unlike his former place where he must see people passing by and children riding their bicycles. He closed his door and sat down on the staircase.

"Ouch! This place is wet"

There was a serious downpour some minutes ago and it didn't occur to him that the stairs would be wet.

He had to go inside to change his long pants and came outside again. This time he had to clean the stairs with a long mop stick. He enjoyed the quiet serenity of the place.
