39| A Shade Of Grey

Balia's POV

I knew not to embarrass myself publicly, so I smiled politely at the bus driver as dread filled my whole body. I could feel my heart thumping in my ears as I stood at the side and watched the other passengers get onto the bus while avoiding eye contact with Senna.

I hadn't looked at him properly, but I knew he was fuming behind me, really fuming.

As soon as the bus drove away, I turned to see Senna standing behind me, expressionless. Not anger or any negative emotions. Just grey.

I swallowed. "So what's next? Are you going to lock me up?"

He gave me no reply. He just took out his phone and typed it before slipping it back into his pocket. Soon enough, a car stopped before us, and the driver whom I had swindled stepped out of the car and rushed to pull the door open.

"Don't worry about that," Senna said in the calmest tone ever. It was scary, sending chills down my spine. "You're fired, remember? So find your way home from here."
