They were led into a large, ornate room, where a group of vampires sat on thrones, their eyes fixed on them.

"What is it that you want?" one of them asked.

"We have information about Alpha Darell's mate, Marcelyn," Amanda said, holding up the book. "And we think you'll be interested in hearing it."

The vampires leaned forward, their eyes glittering with interest. Amanda began to speak, telling them everything she knew about Marcelyn's true origins and her connection to the powerful sorceress who had created her.

The vampires listened intently, their eyes narrowing as Amanda spoke. When she was finished, there was a long moment of silence.
