Chapter sixty two

That broke the spell for Darell, and he stopped what he was doing. Slowly, he disengaged from Marcelyn and cleared his throat.

His wolf screamed in protest, but Darell shushed it down. He looked at Marcelyn, who stood still like a statue, and spoke.

"Anyway, what I wanted to tell you was that I don't want you to change since I like you just the way you are," Darell told his mate.

Without waiting for an answer, he walked up to his room, leaving a dazed Marcelyn staring at his back.

Marcelyn stretched a little, and the tiredness she felt radiated all over her face. She had her head on Darell's lap while the man was getting some work done on his iPhone.

He would stop what he was doing at intervals and thread his right hand through Marcelyn's hair to feel the softness of it.

Sometimes, he would love a few strands between his fingers and twist them around to play with them. A time or two, he had bent down and stolen a kiss from Marcelyn when she least expected it.
