CHAPTER 29

Ava's POV:

"Ahhhhhhhhhh," I screamed as the rope broke. I desperately moved my hands, trying to hold onto something but got nothing. My heart leaped in my chest, and my breath constricted. Tears brimmed my eyes. I tried to scream but the force and terror were too much. I shouted and brace myself for the hard impact. I said my last prayer and waited for my death.

Instead of the ground, I met with two strong arms. I closed my eyes tightly and held onto the person for my dear life. An intoxicating smell burst into my senses. His breath fanned my cheek. I groggily open my eyes and see a shadow of someone and then everything goes black.

Slowly opening my eyes, I look around. I was in a jungle in a muddy place. What am I doing here? Then everything came flashing.

I yelped and looked around for any path or anything when I heard a small growl. I look back to see a black wolf wrapped around me. I was so in my thoughts that I didn't notice
