Trapped

Morgan and Liam were just as nervous as I was. If Sebastian gives up on me, then they can rest easy from now on. To achieve his goal, Liam stared at Sebastian with a mocking look, trying to provoke him into giving up on me.

Sebastian remained silent for a long time. He clenched his fists, and his knuckles turned white. At Morgan's urging, he finally spoke.

"Let's go back."

I didn't say anything, afraid I had misheard. When he repeated, "Let's go back," I confirmed I hadn't misheard; he really intended to take me back. I was so excited that I almost cried.

I pretended to be calm and turned to look at Morgan, Liam, and Nora. Their faces were as unpleasant as if they had just eaten flies. I gave them the middle finger and then ran to catch up with Sebastian, following him to the car.

I sat in the back seat, huddled in the corner, which made me feel safer. The car was filled with an awkward silence. Sebastian had a cold, expressionless face, his eyes fixed firmly on the road, accelerating
