Chapter 20: Scolded.

SUMMER.

"I love you." I suddenly blurted out.

That was the thing, I didn't think—I wasn't thinking when I said it. it just sort of escaped from my lips in a drunken moment. And I watched as his face suddenly drained of any color as I froze there. Vincent pulled away from me and though his lips were apart, he didn't even say anything.

He couldn't.

"Fuck!" I was so embarrassed as I pushed him away. I gathered my shirt in my hands before trying to walk away from him. I needed to leave, no way I could look back in his eyes. I shouldn't have said that, I should not.

What was I thinking?

But both luckily and unfortunately, there was a sudden knock on his door and drifting both our attentions out of my head, we looked back. “Who is that?” We both chorused. Finally, he spoke.
