Twenty seven

“Sis, are you okay?” I blinked several times before looking at her. How long have I been staring blankly?

“Yes, why?” even though I knew I wasn’t.

“You’ve been staring at that for a while now,” she pointed to Jaxon’s resignation letter. Miss Sofia came to hand it to me this morning. “What’s going on? Why did fafa resign? He’s only been here for three months, did you scare him off?” Even though she was teasing me, her voice betrayed her concern, still wondering what happened between us.

“Ah yes,” I stood up while still holding the paper, I signed it first before continuing, “I’ll just bring this to the accounting.” She didn’t stop me, so I walked straight to the fourth floor without taking the elevator, as their office was only two floors away from ours.

It’s been a week since I told him that, and I’ve been waiting for a week to see if he’ll do something or not. Sadly, this was his response to what I said; he did not contact me, he did not even send at least a DM. He’s so heartless
