Isis was still sulking in the thoughts of her betrayal and utter rejection from James when she heard a knock on the door. She ignored it at first as she was utterly exhausted and worn out. She turned to look at the door and took her eyes off again. Her eyes had swollen a bit and she looked pale and sick. The knock came again and Isis grunted. “Phoenix, can you just come in already and stop playing around?” Isis said in a low tone that the person at the door wouldn’t hear. As she had concluded that her best friend was at the door.

Exhausted and worn out, Isis couldn’t lift a finger not to talk of her legs. They were feeble and cold. Isis heaved a sigh.
