But he never doubted her, never doubted her loyalty; infact he trusted her with his life. Why else had he killed for her? Something he had never done in his entire lifetime.

He watched her get famous but yet still remain loyal to him, it intensified the feelings he had for her until she began to notice. He tried once, tried to love someone else, tried to notice other women but hard as he tried, he couldn't, he just couldn't find the home, the peace he was looking for in their eyes; they were all strangers.

And so he stopped fighting and just let the feelings take over, overwhelm him until he didn't care if it killed him; all that mattered was that she loved him too.

But what kind of love was it that prevented them from ever being together?

Julien's eyes popped open, bright and early the next morning. He said thanks to the God he knew existed then got up. He had a meeting with Cicero to prepare for.
