Chapter 89: See You Again
It was as if the world had stopped and his voice kept playing in my head, repeatedly. My heart sank, and my hands began to shake. This was it, I was certain it was Dad's voice.
"Araulla, princess," Dad said again, the tenderness, and the crack in his voice was enough to assure that it was him.
Tears streamed down my cheeks, as I held my shaking hand to my lips. I flitted my eyes towards Kourtney and Daniel who gave me an empathetic look.
I couldn't believe it. I wasn't dreaming. Dad was calling me again, this was his voice.
"Oh my god, Dad?" I said, my tone was filled with yearning.
"Listen to me, Araulla," Dad responded, as he snorted, "I know a lot has happened to you, I'm really sorry for what's going on."
"No," I stammered, tugging my lips to a smile. I wiped the tears off my cheeks and held back the sobs. "Don't apologize, Dad. I miss you so much."
