“What’s going on between you and Seb?” Maya asked me after cornering me in the bathroom.

I listened carefully to make sure that there was nobody in the bathroom with us. Despite everything else, I did not want to share personal shit with people who did not need to know. It was none of their business.

“He’s not happy with me and Alpha Theo,” I told her.

“That’s a loaded statement that we need to unpack. Let’s start with the first part. What’s up with you two?”

I sighed, running my hand through my hair, and jumping up on the counter. It was the same question that I would have if our situations were reversed. I just hoped that she would take it better than he did. His reaction still hurt to think about because it was completely out of character.
