Brynn’s room was almost entirely packed up except for the things on her walls. I wished I had seen what this room looked like before it was packed up. The walls were painted to look like they were part of a galaxy. The blacks, purples, blues, and white stars blended together to create a stunning mural. It made me wonder who designed it because it was customized.

She also had a Queen-sized bed along the back wall. It had boxes scattered on top of it. It made me happy to see it because it showed that our lives were being joined together. It was no longer my place but our home.

I walked over to a corkboard that had photos attached to it. I smiled as I saw different mini-Brynns throughout the years. There were some family photos as well as photos of her friends. I saw what my father meant about how she withdrew into herself after her mother died. Some of those pictures showed eyes void of emotion and robotic in nature. Others showed how lively and happy she was. It pained me to see
