Unknown Third Person POV
"The Imperial Ball has begun, my friend," the cloaked figure said to his companion, rubbing his hands together.
"Yes. Our time is here. We shall strike soon. We will have everything we need by tonight and then, we shall make our first big move," his companion said, smiling viciously.
The cloaked figure chuckled darkly. "I can hardly wait for the fun to begin. I want us to target the hybrid first."
"The hybrid is-" his companion started.
"-not to be hurt," the cloaked figure finished for his companion, sighing loudly afterwards. "Yeah, yeah, I know. She'll be on our side, or at least that's what you keep telling me. But what I meant by targeting her was something else. I want to see how she reacts to what I have in mind," the cloaked figure explained.
His companion looked at him curiously. "How?"

Chris' POV Ivy looked around, the panic clear on her face. As far as I knew, Misha had become a good friend of hers over the course of the last few days, and she was obviously worried for her friend. I was too. I couldn't even begin to think about the kind of chaos it would cause if Alpha Hunter somehow ended up getting hurt. I had a feeling he was strong enough to protect himself and his mate if need be, but the attackers seemed to have mind controlling abilities too. Ivy's POV I made my way to my room as soon as possible. I hadn't wanted to leave Harper alone in a time such as this but checking that journal seemed important now given what I had witnessed.
