Chapter 40
Everything is back to normal. Luke doesn't suspect anything, although Luca kept asking a few questions the day after the incident, he finally stopped. It's been two weeks and no one except Tasha, Serena and I know about the incident.
"You know what today is right?" Luca's voice snaps me out of my thoughts and I look at him, as a smile appears on my face.
"Of course, baby." I smile at him before turning to look at the school's empty field, the sound of birds chirping filling my ears.
Instead of Luca replying me just as I thought he would, he doesn't. With a frown I turn to look at him and I catch his gaze transfixed on me already.
I raise an eyebrow out of curiosity and he shrugs before replying to me. "Nothing, you've just been acting strange these past few days. Are you okay? Is everything okay with you -or us?"

Like he promised the next day Luca wore the hoodie I got for him and he paired it with his new pair of shoes, I could see the necklace peeking out from his hoodie. LUCA'S POV I look at the beautiful girl laying on my bed and I sigh, thanking God for bringing her into my life. Although I don't deserve her, she's the best thing that has ever happened to me. After we both came back from school, she immediately slumped on the bed and slept off, ever since the fight she had with Luke's girlfriend her mood has been dampened. I don't blame her, getting hit by someone you regarded as your best friend in front of other people and her still not wanting to talk to you, is an emotional train wreck. For someone like Iris, who has all her emotions gaurded most times, it's really hard trusting someone and them breaking that trust when you finally raise your guard up hits fucking hard. She turns under the sheets and immediately I rush to sit down on the side of the bed. My hands grab hers and she finally stops stirring.

IRIS' POVAfter reaching his house, we decided to take a shower and lounge around his apartment since it's still midday.
