Chapter 29 | Staying The Night

Hours had passed, and night had fallen. The strange guy I had come to know as Trent pulled his car to the front of a moderately looking wooden house.

Well, after passing several trees to get here.

The moon could not be found tonight, and the sky looked quite cloudy as I stepped down from the car.

"Like it?" Trent asked out of nowhere.

I gave him a weird look, and he recomposed himself.

What does he think this is? A picnic or vacation together? Well, I couldn't blame him much. It was my fault for taking him hostage and shutting him off completely from who I am.

The only thing he knew was that the Alpha king wanted me. Badly.

And I am surprised he hasn't run off by now, even when I stopped pointing the gun at him.

I dug my hands into my jacket pockets and used my eyes to signal Trent to move first since he was more familiar with this place.

Quietly, he did just that.
