Chapter 37 - Night of Reminiscing

Sometimes, all people ever need is someone by their side. Someone that will believe in them no matter what happens. A person that will blindly listen to their words. A person that will endlessly look at them even if they are at their worst.

Weiss stared at the sleeping Charlene by the side of his bed. It was dark in the room, but the light from the moon coming from the open curtains made it possible for Weiss to witness a beauty he had always seen… but rarely recognized.

Weiss took the damped towel from his forehead. Charlene must have been taking care of him since she found out about his condition. Weiss was somehow conscious earlier, but the heaviness that he felt made it impossible for him to open his eyes, talk, and assure the worried woman that everything is gonna be alright.
