Chapter 50 - Regrets Unspoken

“What happened to your hands?” Weiss asked when he found Ignes cooling her hand with cold water with lots of ice in the bucket. “You can’t soak them with ice for too long! Can’t you see how purplish and red they have become? Tsk. What were you thinking!?”

Weiss pulled her hand from the bucket only to surprise himself even more. Ignes’s hands are red, and there are wounds at the tip of her fingers. “What happened to these?!” He panicked as he took a warm towel to dampen them.

“Weiss, it’s nothing—”

“Nothing? Nothing!? You call this nothing!?” Weiss was annoyed. He had been short-tempered since his last visit to the Alpha’s estate.

He stayed there overnight, but Charlene never talked to him. And now he’s being treated like a fool by his girlfriend, “You call this nothing? Then what if your fingers fall off because of the ice and the wounds on them? Will you still call it nothing, then?” Weiss nagged endlessly until he dried her hand and put ointment on her wounds.
